UNS C17300 / AM173 rod offers the strength properties of UNS C17200, but with the addition of a small amount of lead for automatic machining operations, it is also "free machining." This alloy has good electrical conductivity with good fatigue strength and stress relaxation resistance. UNS C17300 / AM173 increases tool life, resulting in less equipment down-time, and ultimately, lower machining costs.
